MapMyIndia has launched MapMyIndia.com/CWG, a website for Commonwealth Games 2010. The website acts like a city guide and offers detailed maps and information like dedicated Games lanes, venue maps, hotels, schedule of events, ATMs, malls, restaurants, historical monuments and tourist attractions that one might want while in Delhi during the Commonwealth Games.

With Delhi Police announcing strict action against violators of Games lane rules, MapMyIndia’s detailed maps of such lanes would be a big help. MapMyIndia has also created special maps showing location and routes to the various Commonwealth Games venues. The objective is to make these venues easy to locate and therefore more accessible.

Rakesh Verma, MD, MapMyIndia, has said, “We are committed to showcasing India as a travel friendly destination through our innovative products and services. The special Games website is our initiative to reach out to Delhites as well as tourists visiting Delhi for the Games. Our goal is to help them travel with confidence.”
