Speaking to India Digital Review about the delay in launching
this app, Hari V. Krishnan, Country Manager, LinkedIn India said that most of
the iPad users in India are senior managers who take business decisions and LinkedIn wanted to be very sure
of delivering higher usability standards and better experience to the users
before launching the product.

“At LinkedIn, our focus continues to be on increasing the
productivity of our members. We realize that today’s professional workforce is
a mobile workforce. Hence, we constantly strive to provide them with simple
solutions to achieve success and deliver a seamless LinkedIn experience
everywhere. Through LinkedIn’s iPad experience we will deliver another simple
yet dynamic experience to assist professionals on the go,” Hari V. Krishnan
added.

The LinkedIn iPad application includes features
like Calendar which provides a snapshot of all the people you will be meeting
with that day and everything you need to know about them. Users can also get
timely and relevant news surfaced by what your connections and industry peers
are sharing and reading. LinkedIn users can now easily connect and follow up
with your professional peers and share your expertise.
