V R Group India has launched KamYantra.com that displays products such as condoms, emergency contraceptive pills and energy capsules. To purchase the product, one needs to provide his mobile number online after which a KamYantra representative calls on the number to close the deal. One can also directly call at 9999-36-46-48 and place the order.

According to Ritu Nath, founder, KamYantra.com, after placing an order, the customer will receive an IVR (interactive voice response) call where the customer has to enter the credit card details through his mobile and payment will be made. For mobile payments, Kamyantra.com has tied up with mobile payment solution provider Cellpay.

Ritu Nath has further informed that most of the orders on Kamyantra.com so far have come from Delhi, while some orders have also come from smaller cities in the country. Launched in March 2010, Kamyantra.com expects to earn Rs 10 lakh in revenues in the current fiscal year (2010-11).

“India is the land of Kamasutra, still people are shy to buy products like condoms and contraceptives. This website is launched to facilitate buying of these products which are a necessity but people are shy to buy them. We will soon be adding products like flowers, chocolates, jewellery, lingerie and romantic holidays as new categories on the portal,” Ritu Nath has told AlooTechie.

KamYantra.com also offers a free service called ‘Ask the Doctor’ where users can get advice from a panel of doctors. However, if the patients want a phone consultancy or require clinical examination and treatment then they will have to pay the doctor and the portal will charge a commission from the doctor.

V R Group had earlier launched a hotel comparison site Ghumichale.com in July 2008. The portal was later renamed as Tripzz.com.
