InMobi guarantees 100% viewability on mobile ad campaigns

      company said the move is in line with a set of viewable ad measurement
      guidelines that are likely to be set by the advertising industry’s main
      measurement agency, Media Rating Council.

      Council’s guidelines currently deem a display ad as viewable if 50% or more of
      it appears on the screen for at least one second, and a video ad as viewable if
      it appears for at least 2 seconds.

      becoming the largest in-app mobile marketplace that provides 100% viewable,
      brand-safe, and fraud-free impressions,” said Abhay Singhal, Chief Revenue
      Officer and Co-founder of InMobi.

    • InMobi’s 100%
      viewability guarantees to advertisers that their mobile ads are seen across all
      in-app ad formats, including banners, video and native ads, the company said in
      a statement.

    • The move comes at a
      time when mobile accounts for a bulk of the online traffic for many companies
      and brands are stepping up spending on advertising on mobile phones. Globally,
      ad buyers are increasingly insisting on paying only for those ads that are
      viewable, and have been verified by third-party agencies which track such data.

    • “Digital and mobile
      advertising are facing credibility and measurement challenges with ad blocking,
      fraud and ad clutter. For brand advertisers, the guarantee means greater
      exposure and reduced risk on advertising investments,” the statement said.

    • InMobi said advertisers
      will be charged on a cost-per-view basis verified by Integral Ad Science, an
      independent third-party firm that tracks mobile ad viewability.
