Infomedia18 unveils new look of Burrp.com

Infomedia18, the publishing arm of Network18, has launched a redesigned version of its local information site Burrp.com. According to Burrp, the new site houses a cleaner, crisper and more engaging design along with better security features for detection and prevention of fake reviews. It also has TV schedules for the day’s best picks for movies, sports and reality shows on the homepage.

According to Burrp, the new site houses a cleaner, crisper and more engaging design along with better security features for detection and prevention of fake reviews. It also has TV schedules for the day’s best picks for movies, sports and reality shows on the homepage.

“After 1,70,000 listings; over 150 content categories; 1,25,000 reviews; 7,00,000 very expressive users across 15 cities, and 8 magazines reaching out to 50 thousand readers, Burrp has emerged as the best and most trusted local guide for users to decide on how to spend their valuable time. However, we realised it’s time to shake things up a bit and set out to revamp Burrp with a simple goal – to make the entire gamut of our content easily accessible to our loyal users, through intuitive and intelligent design,” Vishal Anand, chief product officer, Infomedia18 told AlooTechie.

Vishal Anand further said that Burrp’s content has grown and so has people’s usage pattern over wider variety of content categories. “We have seen strong growth in usage (traffic and reviews) in categories other than just restaurant reviews that we have been known for. This redesign was an effort to bring other content that Burrp now has at the front and centre of the home page,” he added. According to Anand, the company expects to expand Burrp’s services in more cities and also on a wide variety of mobile clients.
