Infomedia18 had paid Rs 4.25 crore to acquire Burrp.com in Mar 2009

According to a filing with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Infomedia 18, a part of the Network18 group, had paid Rs 4.25 crore for acquiring local information search site Burrp.com earlier this year, on March 25, 2009. At the time of acquisition, the deal size was not disclosed.

Burrp.com was co-founded by Deap Ubhi and Anand Jain on August 15, 2006. Burrp helps its users find and share their views on local stuff, including restaurants, bars, cafes and roadside stalls. Currently, the website offers local information about eight Indian cities — Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Delhi and Ahmedabad. [via MediaNama]
