Indiatimes.com is planning to launch AdRingles, an AdRBT (ad ring back tone) service that will provide an advertising platform on mobiles for advertisers. With AdRBTs, each time a person calls an AdRingles customer he will hear an ad or a movie dialogue instead of a ring tone.

When the ad is being played the caller has the option of pressing ‘0’ as a response to hear the product or offer being advertised. Once the call ends the system triggers an action such as delivery of the offer through an SMS giving information about the product.

“We are currently running the trials which would be completed in next four to six weeks and the service will be available to mobile users very soon,” Dinesh Wadhawan, MD and CEO, Indiatimes.com, has said. [Source: TelevisionPoint]
