Indiatimes started live streaming the CWG games on October 5th 2010. “Our prime focus is to cater to our audiences and give them the feel of the Commonwealth Games through live streaming. Right now, we are not focusing on monetary gains. Our idea is that the service should enable as many people as possible to be a part of the games,” a spokesperson of Times Internet has told AlooTechie.

Times Internet is using a 360 degree approach to promote the live streaming service and reach out to the maximum number of people. The company is advertising on Print, Radio, Outdoor and Digital. The initiative has already started attracting the attention of a number of brands that are advertising on these live streams. According to the spokesperson, the ads are running on the basis of CPM.
