The Indiatimes home page re-launch campaign was awarded a ‘Silver’ ABBY at the 41st Abby Awards at the Goafest this year. The award was in the category – Print, Business and Home Products. No ‘Gold’ was awarded for this category.

The Indiatimes home page re-launch campaign was awarded a ‘Silver’ ABBY at the 41st Abby Awards at the Goafest this year. The award was in the category – Print, Business and Home Products. No ‘Gold’ was awarded for this category.

According to Indiatimes, there was a need to change the look of the Indiatimes homepage to reflect the internet consumer – the younger internet generation who expect dynamism not just in content but also in the way it’s presented. Indiatimes.com’s new look homepage presented its offering in a way the younger audience liked to consume the internet – simple and uncluttered, young and vibrant.

The campaign done by Bates David Enterprise, on the theme of ‘Open up’, had eye catching visuals of people unzipping their face to discover a different side to their personalities. The campaign was based on the understanding that people are far more ‘free and open’ on the internet than in the real world.
