According to ESPN Star Sports, the India v/s South Africa match of ICC Cricket World Cup (CWC) held on 12 March 2011, has emerged as the biggest online streamed cricket match ever in India. The live streaming service of the match saw over three million streams being delivered to over 1.5 million unique consumers on the match day in India.

The live streaming service of the match saw over three million streams being delivered to over 1.5 million unique consumers on the match day in India. On the India-South Africa match day, the portal delivered 12.7 million page views and the India games so far have accounted for 10.7 million streams in the country. The online streaming record for event is delivered by Akamai Technologies.

The live web streaming of ICC Cricket World Cup on EspnStar.com has till now generated more than 55 million views across the globe, serving 30 million video streams to 17 million unique users across 42 matches from February 15, 2011 to March 23, 2011. The property has also received more than 175 million page views and over 20 million unique users in the same time period.
