India accounts for less than 3% of spam mails sent globally

India accounts for just 2.99 per cent of the spam mails sent globally, which is also the lowest among BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) nations, according to a report by US-based Secure Computing.

The Internet Threats Report also reveals that US is the biggest contributor at 16.56 per cent, while Russia holds the second spot with a share of 6.71 per cent and Turkey with 6.51 per cent is at the third position.
