to build HomeShop18’s brand across media platforms like TV, web and mobile. She
comes from a publishing background having worked with the HT Media group, where
she was the business head for Hindustantimes.com, Livehindustan.com and HT
She was also part of
the team which launched the group’s FM radio station Fever 104 FM and the news
Rashmi had also
worked with media organizations like The India Today Group, Star TV India,
Quadra Advisory and the Gallup Organization.
Launched in 2011,
Homeshop18 operates in highly competitive ecommerce space. The company has an
edge over its competitors like FlipKart, Myntra, Jabong of having an
alternative distribution channel to brands through its 24-hour home shopping
television channel. It had revenues of Rs. 89.6 crores for the year ended March
31, 2012 (FY12).
