HDFC Bank’s chatbot ‘Eva’ becomes compatible with Google Assistant

HDFC Bank Ltd’s Eva (Electronic Virtual Assistant), a futuristic Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven Chatbot has now become compatible with Google Assistant in Indian English. Chatbot powered by Senseforth, a Bengaluru-based AI start-up, is now available on Android devices. The chatbot is HDFC Bank’s maiden foray into conversational banking

Now, HDFC Bank customers do not need desktop, laptop, application or screens to interact instead they can have interaction through Eva on their smartphones. Customers just need to say “Ok Google, talk to HDFC Bank” to their Google Assistant to interact with Eva.

“We launched Eva to give our customers instant access to information. The Google Assistant rollout is another step in this journey and will make the bank’s services accessible to even more customers right on their phones, wherever they are, using voice as the primary mode of communication,” Nitin Chugh, Country Head – Digital Banking, HDFC Bank was quoted as saying.

Eva is India’s first AI-based banking Chatbot and has answered millions of customer queries across multiple channels. Eva can assimilate knowledge from thousands of sources and provide answers in simple language in less than 0.4 seconds.
