Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, known for his
out-of-the-box marketing strategies for his films, has been reportedly rejected
from tying up with search giant Google for his upcoming movie ‘Talaash’.

According to a report, speaking at a press
conference ahead of the film’s release in Dubai, Aamir Khan revealed that his marketing
team had tried to get in touch with search engine giant Google to replace the
search button with the word ‘Talaash’ (Search) on their homepage for a short
time. Unfortunately for the star, Google refused to do this as it was against
their policy.

It
was earlier reported that the India homepage of Google was likely to have the
word Talaash (which means search) replace the Google Search button for a short
period of time leading up to the release. However, a report in FirstPost quotes a DNA
story claiming that the actor might be in talks with Google officials to pull
off what could be the biggest publicity coup one has seen in Bollywood in a
long time.
