Google launches contest to find ‘best’ recipe in 5 Indian languages

Google has launched Indian Cooking Knol-edge Contest to find and reward the best recipe in five Indian languages — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. According to the company, the entries will be judged by Sanjeev Kapoor, a well-known Indian Chef and host of the TV show Khana Khazana.

The contest, which will run till June 20, 2009, is being hosted on Knol, a Google product that enables users to share their expert knowledge. Google recently added Indic Transliteration tool, which helps users type in Indian languages using an English keyboard, on Knol to allow its users share content in Indian languages.
