Gurgaon-based Roposo,
a social network and discovery platform for fashion products, has raised $5
million in Series A funding round led by Tiger Global. The funding will be used
to further enhance technology and hire new people.

According to a
Financial Express report, existing investors Indian Quotient and co-founder of
Flipkart Binny Bansal have also participated in the round.

The startup was
founded in May 2014 by Avinash Saxena, Mayanak Bhangadia and Kaushal Shubhank.

“We are a search
engine for women’s fashion and trends. It took us two-and-a-half-years to
complete the product. We try to understand each user and their choice in a
great depth, and as a result our app shows all the recent trends based on a
user’s preference,” Avinash Saxena, Co-Founder, Roposo told the Financial
Express.

According to
CrunchBase, along with its previous seed funding of $1 million, Roposo’s latest
round brings its total raised to $6 million.

Co-Founder
Mayank Bhangadia said, “We want Roposo to be better than Google and Facebook
for fashion searches. We are sure serious fashion seekers will make Roposo
their default fashion search engine.”
