Social networking site Facebook – which owns both photo, video-sharing platform Instagram and messaging platform Whatsapp is expected to soon come with an option to allow users share their Instagram stories as WhatsApp status.
The upcoming feature is currently in testing phase. Trial for this feature is reportedly underway among small number of users in Brazil.
According to TecChrunh, “An Instagram Story posted as a WhatsApp Status becomes encrypted like any other message on the app, and will disappear after 24 hours.”
“We are always testing ways to improve the experience on Instagram and make it easier to share any moment with the people who matter to you,” a Facebook spokesperson was quoted as saying.
Facebook users are currently allowed to share Instagram Stories directly to Facebook Stories after it updated its Stories feature on its platform.
