Edu-tech startup Embibe acquires student guidance platform 100Marks

Mumbai based education-tech startup for competitive entrance test preparation, Embibe.com, recently announced the acquisition of 100Marks, one of the student guidance platforms for JEE Main, Advanced and Medical, in a cash plus stock deal.

With a combined footprint of 4 million unique visitors last year, Embibe said that this acquisition is a way towards them establishing itself firmly as a leader in the category, reports Business Standard.

What they’ve created is truly exceptional. What we will build together will be phenomenal for students across the country.” Aditi Avasthi, Founder and CEO, Embibe was quoted in the report as saying.

100Marks is one of the platforms which students preparing for IIT-JEE use for extensive doubt resolution. Developed by IIT and DCE alumuni, 100Marks guides students in their self study through gamified adaptive practice and prompt exam news and updates.

“Both Embibe and 100Marks share a common vision of helping students score higher, and it was only logical for the two to come together in an effort to create the strongest platform for test prep in India.” Pradeep Kumar, Founder, 100Marks told Business Standard.
