Canada based ecommerce platform, Shopify has entered the Indian market in partnership with Asian communication group, SingTel. Shopify aims to help SMEs in the country to have an online presence. The platform can be used to create and power online stores and is currently offering four monthly plans (starter plan – Rs 750, basic – Rs 1550, professional – Rs 3150, unlimited – Rs 9560).The payment has to be made with a credit card and a shop can be set-up instantly states the company.
The platform provides features such as hosting, templates, a web dashboard to manage products and orders, a secure shopping cart, SEO tools, 24 hours customer service support, mobile optimized stores, and an iOS app which offers merchants the convenience of managing their business while on-the-go.It is also offering free Advertising credits on Facebook and Google.
For payment solutions, Shopify has tied-up with PayPal, DirecPay and PayU in India. PayU accepts Visa/ Mastercard Credit Card and debit cards from more than 50 banks.
