CNBC to broadcast content generated by LinkedIn community

Business news channel CNBC and professional networking site LinkedIn have signed a deal under which CNBC content will be distributed across the LinkedIn network, while LinkedIn functionality will be integrated into CNBC.com. The two companies will also work together to include community-generated content from the LinkedIn community for broadcast on CNBC.

“LinkedIn and CNBC’s partnership will present LinkedIn members with up to the minute business intelligence and the ability to engage with other professionals in and around CNBC’s on-air business coverage,” Dan Nye, CEO, LinkedIn, has said. “Moreover, we will be able to draw out insights from LinkedIn’s global user base to generate fascinating new types of business content for CNBC to broadcast.”

“This is the perfect collaboration between CNBC’s viewer base of well-educated and affluent professionals and LinkedIn’s powerful professional network,” Mark Hoffman, president, CNBC, has said. “For quite a while, CNBC has been asked when will it enter professional networking. This question has been clearly answered today.”
