BigFlix.com launches mobile app, WAP site to let subscribers borrow DVDs through mobile

Rental.BigFlix.com, the movie rentals division of BigFlix.com, a part of Reliance Big Entertainment, has launched a downloadable mobile application called BigFlix Smart Client and a mobile WAP site at m.BigFlix.com which will allow its subscribers to borrow and return movie DVDs through their mobile phones.

To download the BigFlix Smart Client application, one needs to SMS ‘BIGFLIX’ to 55454. BigFlix then will send a SMS reply containing an active link ‘http://mobile.bigflix.com’ which will help the subscriber to download the application. One can also download the application by entering his mobile phone number at Rental.BigFlix.com/BigFlix/Mobile.

Kamal Gianchandani, chief operating officer, BigFlix.com, has said, “Today, mobile phone is a must have communication tool and is accessible to almost every common man across the country, hence launching this service will help us reach and meet with our aim to connect with a vast number of people across the country anytime anywhere.”
