Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has gone online with the launch of its official website BCCI.tv . The website will offer deferred streaming video and mobile content, live scoreboard, official photographs, player interviews, profiles, schedules, statistics, user interaction and newsletters.

The website will offer deferred streaming video and mobile content, live scoreboard, official photographs, player interviews, profiles, schedules, statistics, user interaction and newsletters.

BCCI.tv has been developed by Global Cricket Ventures, a joint venture between NetlinkBlue Holding and Live Current Media , as a part of the 10-year agreement signed between Global Cricket Ventures and BCCI. Under the agreement, Global Cricket Ventures was to build and manage the official IPL site IPLT20.com and the official BCCI site BCCI.tv. IPLT20.com, which is already live, is claimed to have received over 50 million page views during the DLF Indian Premier League season held recently.

Sharad Pawar, president, Board of Control for Cricket in India, has said, “I am extremely excited to announce the launch of the BCCI’s official website which will leverage technologies to bring the Indian Cricket fan even closer to the game.”

“The inaugural DLF Indian Premier League season has already displayed the power of a passionate fan base with the IPLT20.com site ranking within the top 350 most highly trafficked sites in the world,” Satyajit Swaminathan, president, Global Cricket Ventures, has said. “I am certain the forthcoming India Australia series itself will generate a lot of traffic to the BCCI website.”
