Air India introduces wap based check-in service for domestic passengers

India’s state owned carrier Air India has introduced a wap based service where domestic passengers can avail a mobile check-in facility at airports of six major metros Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The facility enables passengers to check-in through their web-enabled mobile handsets by logging in to FlyAI.mobi and following sequence-wise instructions as provided.

India’s state owned carrier Air India has introduced a wap based service where domestic passengers can avail a mobile check-in facility at airports of six major metros Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The facility enables passengers to check-in through their web-enabled mobile handsets by logging in to FlyAI.mobi and following sequence-wise instructions as provided. Air India’s mobile check-in facility will be extended to other stations and international flights in a phased manner.

“Mobile check-in will reduce waiting time and is yet another add-on facility for passengers along the lines of tele check-in, web check-in and self check-in kiosks,” Air India spokesperson has said.

    This is really very cool. Air India and some other airlines have been already offering web check-in but I think mobile check-in will be more beneficial.
