Mobile marketing firm Affle has won two awards for the best use of mobile media for branding purposes at MMA (Mobile Marketing Association) Global & Asia Pacific Mobile Marketing Awards 2010. The awards were won for a two-month campaign using multiple mobile media platforms like Affle’s SMS 2.0, mobile internet, voice portals and SMS advertising. The campaign was executed by Affle and Maruti Suzuki on Airtel’s mobile platform in 2010 around Indian Premier League and FIFA World Cup sporting events.

“We are very pleased to receive this global recognition from MMA for our work with Maruti Suzuki,” Anuj Kumar, Executive Director, South Asia, Affle, has said. “With over 1.2 million engagements, a 7 per cent CTR (click through rate), and over 33 per cent increase in ‘top of mind’ awareness, this campaign stands as a great global case study on how mobile can be used effectively for brand building in a very scalable way.”

Sunila Dhar, assistant general manager, Maruti Suzuki, has said, “This particular campaign has been a great success for us as it helped build affinity and engagement with our target audience and was instrumental in helping us significantly up our awareness and ‘top of mind’ scores though a clutter breaking communication. We also received over 30,000 test drive requests as a result which was a clear bonus from this branding activity.”
