5 Star Indian Online League claimed to attract over 1.5 million gamers

Online gaming portal Zapak.com claims that 5 Star Indian Online League, an online cricket tournament which was earlier launched in association with Cadburys, attracted over 1.5 million gamers during the contest period of a one and half months. According to Zapak, the Grand Finale, which was held on 4th August 2009 in Mumbai at the Zapak Gameplex, witnessed Vishal Singh from Pune being crowned as the winner of the online league.

According to Zapak, the Grand Finale, which was held on 4th August 2009 in Mumbai at the Zapak Gameplex, witnessed Vishal Singh from Pune being crowned as the winner of the online league.

“We are extremely happy with an overwhelming response for 5 Star Indian Online League,” Rohit Sharma, chief operating officer, Zapak Digital Entertainment, has said. “After watching all the cricket tournaments and leagues in the offline mode, this online league has helped all cricket lovers to enjoy the sport even more by participating in it themselves. With such a positive response, we intend to provide more such opportunities for our gamers on regular basis.”
