17% of digital companies share profits with employees: Survey

According to a survey conducted jointly by Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and Ma Foi, about 17 per cent of the internet and mobile companies in India have a profit sharing plan for their senior employees.

The survey, which tried to looks into the compensation and benefits in the internet and mobile content and services industry, reveals that 75 per cent of the companies provide housing deposit to upper and middle management, 9 per cent of the companies provide company leased accommodation while 20 per cent reimburse rent of their employees.

According to a survey conducted jointly by Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and Ma Foi, about 17 per cent of the internet and mobile companies in India have a profit sharing plan for their senior employees.

The survey, which tried to looks into the compensation and benefits in the internet and mobile content and services industry, reveals that 75 per cent of the companies provide housing deposit to upper and middle management, 9 per cent of the companies provide company leased accommodation while 20 per cent reimburse rent of their employees.

During the IAMAI – Ma Foi survey, it was also found that 80 to 100 per cent of the employees were covered under the annual salary increase policy while 30 per cent of the companies had a biannual salary hike policy. According to IAMAI, the compensation and benefits reflect the intent of the industry to hire and retain the best people.
