13b.in claims to have received 5 million page views in 13 days

13b.in, which was recently launched by Zapak Digital Entertainment, to promote a Hindi horror movie 13-B, produced by Big Pictures, is now claimed to have received over 5 million page views and about 8.9 lakh visitors in a short span of 13 days, since it was launched on February 11, 2009. Besides, providing movie trailer, music video, wallpaper and games, the website also lets users to post comment and discuss about different ghost stories and haunted places across the world.

“This is a case study as far as online movie marketing goes,” Arun Mehra, chief marketing officer, Zapak Digital Entertainment, has said. “Zapak had a 2-step strategy for the website. 1st step was to reach out to the online community interested in horror. And that is what helped us achieve the 5 million page views. The 2nd step was to make people aware of the movie 13B which happened simultaneously while users accessed horror stories on the website.”
