10 million Broadband connections reported for August 2010 in India: TRAI

According to figures released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the number of broadband connections in the country has grown by 3.17 per cent at 10.08 million in August 2010, as compared to 9.77 million in July 2010. The total number of broadband subscribers as on August 31, 2009 was 6.98 million. TRAI defines broadband as internet speed equal or greater than 256 Kbps download.
